Cerec 3D – Same Day Restorations
Restoring your smile in just one day
Most dental restorations, such as crowns, bridges and veneers, can take up to two weeks to be produced in a laboratory, but we can speed up this process considerably with innovative CEREC technology.
CEREC consists of an in-built scanner, design terminal and milling unit, and it uses high-quality materials which mimic the colour and opacity of your teeth for natural-looking results.
CEREC – the Sutton Aesthetic way
Dr Afzal is one of very few dentists in the Midlands to use the innovative CAD/CAM machine (CEREC) which can scan your mouth, without having to take impressions, and mill restorations on-site.
When your restoration has been produced, Dr Afzal can stain it to match your natural tooth colour and make sure it fits perfectly with your bite.
More facts about CEREC
- As CEREC restorations are milled from a single block of ceramic, they are particularly durable and resistant to cracks. They have been shown to last just as long as traditionally made crowns.
- As the complete process, from scanning to fitting, takes place in just one visit, it avoids the need for a temporary restoration and offers a convenient single appointment.
- CEREC can be an economical choice, as you will only need one appointment and there are no lab costs.
